Founded in 2007, switch aims to promote and show contemporary visual art in a public context. Switch is based in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, Ireland

Switch shows 8 art works in 8 vacant spaces in the town centre of Nenagh, in November. These works of moving image are back-projected onto coated windows creating large screens.

In 2008 The theme was ‘inside-out’
In 2009 The theme was ‘playfulness’

For 2010 switch is now issuing an open call for works of moving image responding to the theme of ‘ the scale of things’.

To date switch in Nenagh Co Tipperary has shown works of artists from Washington DC, Dublin, Gothenburg, Dusseldorf, London, Cork, Istanbul, Chicago, Glasgow, Belfast, Ohio, Nenagh and Helsinki.
