The magazine is assembled around meta-words to be interpreted according to a loose, wide and multi-angled perspective, and it includes three sections: words (fiction, essays, poetry); visions (drawings, photography, visual projects); the blender (where words and visions cross paths).

20x20 exhibits annually at a number of major book fairs, including the recent CCA Book Fair (Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow, 2009), Publish and Be Damned (London, 2009&2008), and By Leaves We Live (The Scottish Poetry Library, Edinburgh, 2009).
