Mat Osmond


Mat Osmond lectures at University College Falmouth on the MA Illustration: Authorial Practice. Strandline Books is the working title for his exploration of the relationship between drawing and writing within the medium of the artist’s book.
Mat's most recent publication, Drawing on Sand, features in an abriged version in the inaugural issue of the Dark Mountain Journal (May, 2010).
This is the third book in his series Littoral Pieces, 1-3 - a lyrical narrative with black and white digital inkjet and litho print images - the first two of which, Drawing on Water (Atlantic Press, http://www.atlanticpressbooks.com/drawing-on-water.htm) and The Bird's Dream, were shown at LAB 07 and 08.
Mat's illustrations appear in The Speckled Egg: 15 Visual Narratives, ed.
Steve Braund (2005, Atlantic Press) and his work is held in the V&A collection.
