Glyn Walton

Glyn Walton's book art is grounded in his practice of digitally-enhancing macro photographs.
Often, Glyn focuses on insects, plant forms, perceived patterns and interesting juxtapositions of textures in contemporary architecture and iconic urban imagery (such as bicycle symbols painted on road surfaces).
Interactions between people and their environments are another characteristic source of inspiration. Frequently, such interchanges initially take the form of sculptures, which Glyn then translates into simple drawn or painted forms, or fashions into miniature assemblage domes that are often tinged with humour and pathos.
His images typically feature alongside his poems and word pictures in either spiral-bound or concertina book forms. For more of Glyn's work, see his website, www.glynwalton.co.uk.
