Hand-cut rubber stamps, frottage, photocopying, wood and lino cuts, stencils, Print Goco,transfers and silkscreen are all utilised in the making and reproduction of text and image in Stephen Fowler's publications and limited edition prints.
His books are bound in simple three- or five-hole stitch, perfect binding or the 'hot dog'/hidden book method.
He explores the themes of 'Magic', 'Things Unseen', Shell-Fish, Top Shelf Views, the Clergy and Found Folk Art.
