Glasgow International Festival brings the art of local and international artists to Glasgow for a stimulating two-week burst of exhibitions across the city, starting 16th April right through until 3rd May 2010. Visual art happens all year round in Glasgow but for two weeks every two years, Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art puts it firmly in the spotlight. From artists’ studios through to major museums, by way of a vast range of venues new and old, the Festival is the perfect moment to get to know more about contemporary art and how and where it takes place in Glasgow. Packed with events, talks and tours as well as major world-class exhibitions, some by artists living in the city and others by leading international figures, the Festival is Glasgow’s art scene at its liveliest and best. |

Radius is a collection of events and exhibitions that will be taking place during the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art - between April 16th and May 3rd. We'll be publishing events and projects on a map showing the plethora of creative work taking place between the official GI locations. Radius is all about risk. There are no endorsements, quality controls, there's no funding. It’s a gathering of work that's just happening, and we want to help people who are in the city to find out about it. |

Atypical Root is a curated public art trail along the Clyde riverbank, stretching from Glasgow's East End through the Financial district and City Centre, to the Pacific Quay and Govan. It presents new public artworks, interventions, and performances while encouraging 'Atypical viewers' to discover alternate routes through Glasgow. The trail links these new public artworks with pre-existing public works and other parts of The GI Festival. |
